Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at Minted TCG. We specialize in trading card games, collectibles, and gaming supplies. Due to the nature of our products, we maintain the following return and refund policy.


1. Trading Cards & Sealed Products

⚠️ ALL SALES ARE FINAL

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on:

  • Individual trading cards (singles)
  • Graded cards (PSA, CGC, BGS, etc.)
  • Sealed booster packs, booster boxes, and ETBs
  • Sealed collection boxes and premium products
  • Mystery boxes, bundles, and promotional packs
  • Pre-orders once fulfilled

Why No Returns on Card Products?

Trading cards and collectibles are unique products where condition, authenticity, and sealed status directly affect value. Once a product leaves our facility:

  • We cannot verify the condition has not changed
  • Sealed products may have been opened and resealed
  • Cards may have been switched or substituted
  • Environmental exposure may have altered condition

This policy protects both our business and our customers from fraud and ensures the integrity of our inventory.


2. Damaged or Defective Items

While all sales are final, we stand behind the quality of our products. If you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged in shipping (crushed boxes, water damage, etc.)
  • Incorrect item (wrong card, wrong product sent)
  • Significantly misrepresented (condition significantly worse than described)
  • Manufacturer defect (factory errors, misprints sold as normal)

To Report an Issue:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Email support@mintedtcg.com with:
    • Your order number
    • Clear photos of the issue
    • Photos of the packaging (for shipping damage)
    • Description of the problem
  3. We will review your case within 2 business days

Resolution options (at our discretion):

  • Replacement of the defective/incorrect item
  • Store credit for the affected item(s)
  • Partial refund in exceptional circumstances

Note: We reserve the right to request return of damaged items before issuing replacements. Return shipping for verified defective items will be covered by Minted TCG.


3. Gaming Supplies & Accessories

For non-card products such as:

  • Card sleeves, deck boxes, and binders
  • Playmats and gaming accessories
  • Dice, tokens, and game components
  • Apparel and merchandise

Return Conditions:

  • Timeframe: Within 14 days of delivery
  • Condition: Unopened, unused, in original packaging
  • Proof: Original receipt or order confirmation required

Non-Returnable Accessories:

  • Opened card sleeves or deck boxes
  • Used or unrolled playmats
  • Clearance or sale items (marked as final sale)
  • Custom or personalized items

Refund Method: Approved returns will be refunded to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Return Shipping: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or we made an error.


4. Pre-Orders & Backorders

  • Cancellation: Pre-orders may be cancelled for a full refund until the order status changes to "Fulfilled" or "Shipped"
  • No cancellation: Once shipped, pre-orders follow our standard policy (no returns on card products)
  • Release delays: If a manufacturer delays a release, you may cancel for a full refund
  • Allocation issues: If we cannot fulfill your pre-order due to allocation, you will receive a full refund automatically

5. Event Tickets & Services

  • Event tickets: Non-refundable, but may be transferable (contact us)
  • Event cancellation by Minted: Full refund or store credit offered
  • No-shows: No refunds for failure to attend

6. How to Request a Return

For eligible items:

  1. Email support@mintedtcg.com with subject line: "Return Request - Order #[your order number]"
  2. Include your order number, items to return, and reason
  3. Wait for return authorization and instructions (do not ship without approval)
  4. Pack items securely in original packaging
  5. Ship to the address provided with tracking
  6. Refund processed within 5-10 business days of receipt

⚠️ Important: Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused and returned to sender at customer's expense.


7. Regional Consumer Rights

European Union & United Kingdom

Under EU Consumer Rights Directive and UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have certain statutory rights. However, these regulations provide exemptions for:

  • Sealed goods that have been unsealed after delivery (health/hygiene reasons)
  • Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized

Due to the risk of fraud and value degradation, trading cards fall under these exemptions once sealed products are opened or cards leave our verified custody. Your statutory rights for faulty goods remain unaffected.

Australia

Under Australian Consumer Law, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. This policy does not limit those guarantees. For minor failures, we may choose to repair or replace.

United States & Canada

Return policies vary by state/province. This policy complies with FTC regulations requiring clear disclosure of return policies before purchase. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy.


8. Chargebacks & Disputes

We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a payment dispute. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

Please note:

  • Initiating a chargeback for a valid transaction may result in account suspension
  • We provide evidence to payment processors for disputed charges
  • Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to relevant authorities

Summary: Trading cards and sealed products are final sale. Damaged or incorrect items will be addressed. Gaming accessories may be returned if unopened within 14 days. Always contact us before returning anything.
